Day 6: How You Get the Girl

Bonjour my internet friends,

That there is the ultimate singer/songwriting celebrity couple of this generation.

Day 6: Boys

Now, as you all may know, Taylor is kind of known for her dating life and writing songs about them. But can I point out she has only dated seven (celebrity) guys in her approximately nine year music career. (This is including that handsome guy up there who really got the girl).

First we had Joe Jonas in 2008, then Taylor Lautner in 2009, John Mayer in 2009/10, Jake Gyllenhaal in 2010/11, Conor Kennedy in 2012, Harry Styles in 2012/13, and Calvin Harris since March of this year (2015).

Reading that, you'd probably be pretty appalled at the seemingly large number. But I'd like to disagree.

That is only seven people (including her current boyfriend) in her almost ten year career. The career that started in 2006. Her celebrity dating life started two years later. She has been noted to have crushes and being a crush of some but those are not counted because she never had a relationship with them.

Taylor is a girl who likes boys. And she writes songs from the point of view of a girl who likes boys.

About 76% of her songs are about love and being in love and the aftermath of love. (real study done by a Swiftie, you can see what she did here).

But as each album goes on, the fairy tale love fades slightly. Because during her first few years Taylor was a teenager, a hopeless romantic. Now she is 25 and a hopeless romantic. which, musically, looks and sounds a little different.

Whenever you are in a mood for love, Taylor is there.

Just went through a breakup? Taylor.

Just feel lovesick and romantic? Taylor.

Madly in love? Taylor.

Have a crush? Taylor.

Feeling doubtful of your relationship? Taylor.

In your first relationship? Taylor.

So done with love? Taylor.

And on and on and on. Because she just does so well with that type of songwriting.

For many girls, she sets an example of how love works. Because of the way she writes in her songs, they know that love isn't perfect or all about sex.

They (or maybe I should say we) realize that love has it's ups and downs. Amazing moments and not-so-amazing. Someone might be perfect one day and horribly wrong the next.

Taylor has set an amazing example in my opinion of how relationships work. Because, sometimes, they don't. She is my celebrity role model in everything she does. Including her love life.

I try to think the way Taylor does considering love. Go into it with a thoughtful mind and a strong heart. That lady has taught me a lot through her actions and songs.

Now that I've gone off on a tangent, I'm going to conclude that Taylor is a wonderful, incredible, beautiful, tragic new romantic whom I look up to dearly.

Keep smiling beautifuls,
Naddy xoxo
